Founded by my grandfather in 1946, our family-run company has been continually developing ever since in line with the market requirements – from a spare parts manufacturer for the mining industry to an inter- nationally renowned specialist in power transmission engineering. Today, we develop and produce torsionally flexible couplings at a high level of vertical integration under the REICH-KUPPLUNGEN brand. These products are predominantly used for combustion engines in stationary and mobile applications – for example in power generation plants, in construction machinery, in commercial vehicles, in railway engineering, and in the shipbuilding industry. Another essential component of our success is the “Designed to Customer” principle which allows us to create customised high-quality and long-lasting power transmission products in close cooperation with the customer. Our commitment to flexibility, quality, and on-time delivery, and our ability to respond to the most di- verse requirements are providing daily proof that customer satisfaction is of top priority to us. Since I joined the company’s management I have dedicated my efforts to preserve these values and to position our company for a safe and successful future also in the third generation. We have been living and working for our family company with great passion for almost 100 years. By completing his training as a book printer in 1919, Josef Altmann laid the foundations for our family tradition in the graphics industry. His sons Gerhard and Werner followed in his footsteps in 1949 and 1955, respectfully. Peter Altmann has been managing the company in what is now the third generation since 1993. With the foundation of Altmann Graphische Maschinen GmbH in 1980, we specialised in the international trade of used machines for printing and finishing, which is our key area of expertise. In the meantime, we have continually built up our reputation as a respectable, technically adept and service-oriented partner. This reputation extends far beyond the confines of our base in Magstadt, a town located on the outskirts of Stuttgart. We are very proud to say that our machinery is used all around the world. AS-Schweißtechnik GmbH is a family-run company with 15 employees. Ever since 1980, we have been producing stud welding units, accessories, stud welding machinery and welding studs from our 900 m² site. 1980: Company established by Hans-Joachim Arnhold. 1980-1990: Developing new equipment technology and expanding business areas. 1990: Construction of the current main building for administration, equipment production and stud storage. 1998: Expansion of the new building to include storage and production facility for special equipment. 2000: Into the second generation as Martin Arnhold joins the company. 2008: Introduction of the ISO 9001 quality standard. December 2013: Company founder Hans-Joachim Arnhold hands the company over to his son, Martin, and begins his well earned retirement. We operate in more than 50 countries around the world.
